Condé Nast Traveller and Himalayan Sparkling Announce Results of the Top Restaurant Awards 2017

Multi-media luxury travel brand Condé Nast Traveller and Himalayan Sparkling, India’s premium natural mineral water brand, partnered to present the first edition of Top Restaurant Awards, India’s definitive list of the country’s 50 finest restaurants, as decided by a jury of renowned tastemakers. The glittering event took place in New Delhi on 19th December 2017 and witnessed the presence of some of the most prominent names in the hospitality industry along with food writers, critics, influencers, and serious foodies.

The first ever Condé Nast Traveller and Himalayan Sparkling Top Restaurant Awards saw Delhi and Mumbai take pole position with 10 winning restaurants in each, followed closely by Bengaluru, Chennai, and Goa with 7 winning restaurants.

New World cuisine, signifying the use of global culinary styles and techniques to reimagine existing recipes and traditional methods of cooking, is rising in the popularity charts. Also, clean eating and mindful sourcing of ingredients is steadily becoming top priority for restaurants and consumers alike. The Himalayan Raw & Fine ranking that rated India’s premium dining spaces as per this philosophy saw 10 out of the 50 restaurants actively propagating this ethos, with The Table in Mumbai leading the pack.
